On May 22 and 23, 4 grandiose anniversary shows of Iryna Bilyk took place on the stage of the National Palace of Arts “Ukraine”.
Having flashed with a powerful flash 30 years ago, she herself became a symbol of Ukraine’s independence, performing most of her songs in Ukrainian. For many, she became the first love of the Ukrainian language. This is a whole era in the history of Ukraine, in the history of national pop music. And she is still creating this history today.
Iryna Bilyk’s Kyiv concerts have been postponed four times due to quarantine restrictions, but her loyal fans have returned only a few dozen tickets out of almost 7,000 sold.
The outrageous icon of Ukrainian pop music performed songs that she hadn’t sung for a long time and that everyone dreamed of hearing again. Iryna performed the best songs from all her albums over the 30 years of her career. “Colors,” “So Simple,” “You Are Mine,” “And I’m Sailing in a Boat,” “Lonely,” “Love. Poison”, “Snow”, “We Will Be Together” are the hits that began the musical history of independent Ukraine and which remain close to everyone many years later.
As conceived by the concert director, the singer’s anniversary program does not include duets, a large number of ballets, or performances by guest artists. Only Irina herself, her songs and her communication with the audience. Irina was everywhere at the same time – both on stage and on screens.
A lot of fans came to congratulate the singer on her anniversary, including several honored guests. One of the audience members was President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who personally congratulated the singer. He came up to the stage during the performance of the hit song “You Are Mine” with a large bouquet of flowers, which he presented to the star and noted that she was the people’s love.
“You are our love. Congratulations to you. We love you,”
president said.
In addition to the personal greeting from the President of Ukraine, Iryna Bilyk also received flowers from the Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak. The singer was also among the celebrity guests at the anniversary concerts:

The singer’s anniversary concerts are part of her all-Ukrainian tour. After the concerts in Kyiv, the audience is waiting for Iryna in Rivne, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Kropyvnytskyi and other cities and towns of Ukraine. In total, the anniversary tour covers more than 30 cities.
