The Ukraine Palace gathered fans of real dance at a concert of the world-famous Ukrainian Pavlo Virsky Ensemble.
On December 5, a concert of the Pavlo Virsky National Honored Academic Dance Ensemble took place on the stage of the Palace Ukraine. The show combined folk dances and modern technologies. The dances were emphasized with a lighting solution that added a special atmosphere to the event. The show was organized by the Palace “Ukraine”.
The rich program of the concert included well-known classics of folk dances – the ensemble’s signature numbers: “Oh, under the cherry tree”, “Hopak”, “Sailors”, “Zaporozhians”, “Slider” and many others. There were also some premieres: the audience was presented with three new numbers prepared especially for the concert at the Ukraine Palace.
Every concert of the Virsky Ensemble is a celebration of Ukrainian folk dance. Their events always feature famous dances, a large number of dancers and numbers that glorify our country all over the world. During the concert, the artistic director of the Virsky Ensemble, Hero of Ukraine, People’s Artist of Ukraine Myroslav Vantukh made a speech on stage.
The folk dancers impressed the audience so much that each performance was accompanied by applause. After the concert, the entire audience gave the ensemble and their director a standing ovation.
“This is how you honor not only us, but also your culture with your applause. This is how the whole world honors us. We have visited 85 countries, and perhaps, if not for this disease, it would have been 91,”
Myroslav Vartukh said from the stage.
